une is a very busy month for our council. We sponsor many activities at the Albertville Friendly City Days Festival, and we need a lot of volunteers to staff these activities. I hope that many of you can answer the call to volunteer this year. Look in this newsletter to find where help is needed.
"Do you have some good ideas on how the Knights of Columbus can be a more visible and active organization in our church and community?"
Do you have some good ideas on how the Knights of Columbus can be a more visible and active organization in our church and community? As we start preparing for a new council year, it is important that we hear from you. Contact any of the officers and attend planning meetings. Each Knight receives a monthly copy of Columbia magazine, and in the back couple pages are examples of what other councils are doing. I hope you can take a look at these activities, and if something strikes your interest, volunteer to get it off the ground.
June 6th is the Feast of Corpus Chrisi, where we as Catholics celebrate in a special way the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist. Recently, our parishes in the area have re-established the tradition of a Corpus Christi procession after on of the Masses, where we can publicly show our reverence for the Blessed Sacrament. Make sure that you take advantage of this great feast day - it is an excellent teaching opportunity for the younger children.
Take care this summer. In the busyness of the time, don't forget to keep God in your plans - through regular prayer and Mass attendance.
