Brother Knights,
During Lent, we as Catholics are called to increase our prayer, almsgiving and mortification in order to prepare our souls for the joy of the Resurrection at Easter. It is always difficult to change our selfishness habits, and I find that even the smaller things are hard to let go of. I encourage everyone to take heart and have a firm resolve to pray more in order to reach Good Friday with the satisfaction that you have grown closer to God.
As Brother Knights, we have many opportunities to perform acts of Charity and donate to many worthy causes—for example the Haiti Relief Fund that is managed by the Supreme Council. We as a council the next couple months have a number of activities that you can get contribute to in order to help those that are in need.
